The Essence of Love: The Spiritual Truth That Governs Humanity.

We all know love as just a word, but at its core, its intensity and magnitude are something that could shake a person’s world forever. This love is the true essence of the universe and governs all of humanity. But to understand it is not an easy task. One must open up to love and accept the truth to feel it in return. One must look at love with the eyes of a lover and only then would understand its essence.

This is the same love that has no boundaries and no limits. It sees no religion and does not differentiate in god. Because this love understands the true essence of life and death. the great mystic Shams Tabrizi puts it in his 40 rules of love and says, “Intellect and love are made of different materials. Intellect ties people in knots and risks nothing, but love dissolves all tangles and risks everything. Intellect is always cautious and advises, ‘Beware too much ecstasy’, whereas love says, ‘Oh, never mind! Take the plunge!’ Intellect does not easily break down, whereas love can effortlessly reduce itself to rubble ” There is a spirituality that hides in love and only a meditative heart is able to open up to it.

Essence of love

Do you feel it?
This is love.
It’s not like ecstasy,
It’s much more,
It’s deeper,
Bolder,
And carries truth like no other.
I am completely immersed now,
I don’t feel my skin,
Just the tingling,
It’s like bells ringing,
Awakening me,
To a love that would consume me.
This love moves through me,
Like electricity lightning me,
It’s not taking away anything,
But it fills me with a force.
And as I fall in love,
I have forgotten myself,
I am neither drowning,
Nor am I floating.
I might be sleeping on concrete,
Or being stabbed by glass.
But I don’t feel it, my existence is nothing but the wind now.
Only a lover can sell this wind of mine,
And understand the essence of it,
The calling that it screams,
And the light that it brings through.
I am not special,
Nor am I different, I am Layla,
But you might not be Majnun.
You might not have the his eyes,
And thus you might never know the truth.
This love is frictionless,
It has no boundaries and no limits,
It flows through a drunken man,
Just as it would through a prostitute,
It sees no one as small and none as big,
It is equal and it has momentum.
One must only flow with,
And understand it’s beauty.
Let it’s flow take you through fire and hell,
Because of the one that truly believes, it will always lead to god.
Hell is here and so is heaven,

So my friend, don’t be bewildered
It is us who decide where we live,
To the heart that gives out envy and hate,
Hell is here and now.
But the one that flows in love, he has no need of heaven.
Because His being becomes the heavenly force.
