wounded by anniversary, formed 15 days from writing
I question the lack of public outrage on the length of this genocide
The last 76 years there has never been such thing as siding
Still you question legitimacy of Palestinian cries
I question complicity sat between you and I
I am concerned with the lack of urgency when an ethnicity will die
There blood isn’t red 40
These are innocent people with innocent lives
So why do you fail to mention your stance on social media?
Why do you fail to divest from corporations who gas them like helium?
Not healing them, war crimes on intoxication
Appeal to them, in toxing their nation
Native to them, yet you fund all these organizations
That are Zionist in nature
I question whether you wager
Between your rights and wrongs like humans do, your moral compass shook
Because the eastern hemisphere is clouded with conflict but look
You can’t ruin your aesthetic to identify the loss of lives
You aren’t knowledgeable on politics, you won’t learn the reason why
Even if your existence is political, your imagery isn’t
If more people joined a protest our reach wouldn’t be finite
And yet I ask you, how are you able to sleep soundly at night?
when they kill and cause outrage
then kill the outraged to silence
then bomb displaced citizens so the only sounds
can be of shrieks, death and terror
i employ you ask the question, will colonialism live forever?
I’m tugging both sides of the rope, I can’t choose
The average citizen seems clearly uneducated
It would be selfish of me to hang myself with the rope like noose
But I further employ that you fully digest this question
How many of you will post about the genocide after you read this poem?
How many of you will have dug deeper in the knowledge of politics and informed yourself on the world?
The ghosts reckoning might’ve come and we may have turned a blind eye
I only pray they forgive us for the bliss when our ignorance rise
